Data we collect
- Fee rules you create, including labels, amounts, rule scopes, conditions, Shopify fee product/variant IDs, Cart Transform IDs, and POS fee settings.
- App settings such as default currency, rounding strategy, buyer disclosure, tax note, and alert email.
- Operational fee events used for reports: order identifier/name when available, fee type, amount, currency, channel, country/region, item title, quantity, rule ID, and timestamp.
- Billing metadata from Shopify-hosted app subscriptions: plan name, subscription ID, and status.
- OAuth sessions required to call Shopify APIs on behalf of the store.
How we use data
We use data to operate FeeLayer, display rule previews, sync active rules to Shopify Cart Transform configuration, power the POS tile, maintain fee reports, process Shopify webhooks, support billing status, and help merchants troubleshoot fee configuration. We do not sell merchant or buyer data.
Storage and retention
Data is stored in Cloudflare D1. To prevent unlimited growth, FeeLayer rolls up daily metrics and deletes old event data. Default retention: fee events 180 days, audit logs 365 days, webhook events 180 days, billing history 365 days, export jobs 30 days, expired online sessions 7 days after expiry.
Shopify and processors
FeeLayer uses Shopify APIs and Shopify-hosted billing. Cloudflare provides hosting and D1 database infrastructure. We request only the scopes needed for product/order fee rules, cart transform configuration, Shopify Functions setup, sessions, billing, and app webhooks.
Your rights and contact
Merchants can uninstall the app to revoke access. Shopify GDPR webhooks are supported for data requests and redaction. For privacy questions, contact 962900862@qq.com.
