About FeeLayer
Deposits, product fees, recycling fees, POS fees, COD fees, and surcharges with clear rules and reports.
Built for transparent merchant-configured fees
FeeLayer helps merchants create clear required fees and deposits, test rule matching, and export reports for reconciliation.
What FeeLayer does
- Create rules for bottle deposits, can deposits, recycling fees, product fees, tariff surcharges, POS fees, COD fees, and payment surcharges.
- Preview rule matches before enabling a fee.
- Sync active product, variant, and cart-scope rules to Shopify Cart Transform for checkout execution.
- Add a quick FeeLayer tile in Shopify POS for in-store deposits and surcharges.
- Track fee events by order, rule, channel, country, and fee type.
- Export CSV reports for accounting and audit workflows.
What FeeLayer does not do
FeeLayer is not a payment gateway, tax advisor, legal advisor, or standalone checkout. It relies on Shopify Functions, Shopify POS APIs, and Shopify-hosted billing. Merchants remain responsible for complying with local laws, card-network rules, tax treatment, and buyer disclosures.
